"The Bruised Wall of the Valley" marked Jafari's first solo exhibition, which took place in O'Gallery in 2019. The collection featured a series of mini installations, sculptures, and drawings. The central concept originated from Jafari's daily practice of collecting diverse materials she encountered in various places. These materials predominantly comprised organic matter such as wood, steel, wool, cloth, among others. The shapes of these objects/materials played a pivotal role in their selection, as the artist sought to establish communication between them through assembling, thus transforming them into mini installations.
The creation of these abstract installations was driven by improvisation, where great care was taken to ensure fundamental symmetry and order. Another aspect of the exhibition involved making drawings, providing an opportunity to experiment with this approach on a larger, more physically expansive scale. This allowed the artist to express the symmetrical foundation in a free and more performative manner.
Repetition served as a technique to deconstruct the main concept of a shape and create something new, emphasizing the abstract forms that arose from the act of repetition.
This repetition added depth and complexity to the overall artistic expression of the collection.
